At 2,260 metres, the Tizi n'Tichka pass is the highest paved mountain pass in Morocco. It connects Marrakech to the pre-Saharan valleys through some of the most dramatic scenery in North Africa — sheer cliffs, ancient Berber villages clinging to hillsides, and sweeping panoramas of the High Atlas range.
