Our Story
Born From a Passion for Morocco's Sahara
Get Travel Desert was founded in 2016 by Ahmed Ait Benhaddou, a native of Ouarzazate who grew up among the kasbahs and desert landscapes of southern Morocco. Frustrated by impersonal mass tourism that failed to capture the true spirit of the Sahara, Ahmed set out to create a different kind of tour company.
Our mission from day one has been simple: to provide authentic, personal, and transformative experiences in Morocco — the kind that stay with you long after you return home. We work exclusively with local Berber guides, family-owned camps and riads, and small groups to ensure the most genuine connection with Morocco's culture and landscapes.
Today, we've welcomed over 2,400 travelers from more than 50 countries, and we're proud to maintain a near-perfect 4.9-star rating across all platforms.
